ASSOCIATED CIVIL WORKS TO GATE POST AT THE PENINSULAR AREA

CONTRACT NO: MPA 618/2024

The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting bids from local bidders for the Contract MPA 618/2024 – Associated Civil Works to Gate Post at the Peninsular Area, as more fully described in the bidding document.

Bidding exercise shall be conducted through the Open National Bidding method according to the procurement rules and regulations issued by the Procurement Policy Office.

Scope of the Works

The scope of works comprises the following:

1. Careful demolition of partition block walls after provision of temporary supports;
2. Removal of existing metal openings and cart away;
3. Laying of block wall and associated works, rendering and painting;
4. Supply and fixing of openings in aluminium and roller shutter complete with all electrical accessories;
5. Etc.

Qualifications

Bidders should have the following minimum qualification to be eligible as a contractor for undertaking the project:

1. valid registration certificate with the CIDB under the grade that will enable the contractor to perform the works quoted for, under the following class(es): Medium I;
2.     experience in two works of a similar nature over the last 5 years, each of value not less than Rupees Two Million, and
3. Other qualifying criteria as mentioned in the bidding document.

A complete set of bidding documents will be submitted to bidders via email.

Pre-Bid Site Visit

Bidders or their designated representatives are invited to attend a pre-bid site visit on Tuesday 01 October 2024 at 10.30 hours. The meeting point is the Conference Room, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis.

Submission of Bids

Bids (one original and one copy) sealed in single envelope must be submitted in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders, clearly marked “Contract MPA 618/2024- Associated Civil Works to Gate Post at the Peninsular Area which shall be addressed to the Director General, Mauritius Ports Authority, H. Ramnarain Building, Port Louis.

Deadline for the submission of bids

Bids should be either deposited in the Bid Box located in the Chief Officer’s Office, Mauritius Ports Authority, 1^st Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis or submitted by registered post or courier so as to reach the Mauritius Ports Authority on or before Thursday 24 October 2024 up to 14.00 hours at latest. 

Bids will be opened on the same day as the closing date at 14.15 hours in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

Bids received after the specified closing date and time will not be considered.

The Mauritius Ports Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to annul the bidding process and to reject all bids at any time prior to award of the Contract, without thereby incurring any liability to any Bidder.
