With the upsurge in South-South trade, Port Louis has emerged as a preferred way port for vessels plying on the key maritime routes to Asia, Africa and Latin America. The MPA supports the needs of its clients with an effective ‘one-stop-shop’ approach which enables vessels to optimize their stay when they call at Port Louis.
The MPA is working closely with its stakeholders to fine-tune its core competences in order to attract a larger number of tankers, bulk carriers, oil rigs and other casual callers at Port Louis Harbour for the purpose of bunkering, change of crew, taking ship stores, repairs/inspection etc.
Safe anchorage is available up to a depth of about 70 metres within port limits, thus providing vessels with greater flexibility, improved efficiency and cost-saving opportunities. Local shipping agents are experienced in providing tailor-made solutions to vessels calling at Port Louis Harbour.
