Sale of One Steel Motor Launch

TENDER NOTICE FOR THE SALE OF ONE  STEEL MOTOR LAUNCH

1. Background

Bids are invited for the sale of one Motor Launch Seagull, built in 1990 on an “as is where is” basis.

2. General Particulars of the  Steel Motor Launch Seagull

Length Overall :13.5 m

                Beam                : 5.0 m

                Draft                 :  1.5 m

                Engine              : 2 x 100 KW

                Built                 : Damen Shipyard

3. Submission of bids

Bids in sealed envelope clearly marked “SALE OF MOTOR LAUNCH SEAGULL” addressed to the Director General, Mauritius Ports Authority, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis, Mauritius. Bids should be deposited in the “Bid Box”, located at Chief Officer’s Office, 1^st Floor, H.Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis, Mauritius not later than Wednesday 20 February 2019 at 14:00 hrs at latest.  Bids received after the specified closing time will not be considered.

The offer may also be sent on Fax no: 240 0856 at MPA’s Confidential Registry.

Bids should be made on a no VAT basis and be in Mauritian Rupees.

Bids should remain valid for a period of 90 days after the closing date.

4. Request for Clarifications

Any clarification or additional information sought by any prospective bidder should be addressed to the Port Master on info@mauport.com or by Fax on +230 240 0856 at least seven (7) days before the deadline for the submissions of bids.

5. Pre-purchase Inspection of Tug

The vessel is available at Port Louis Harbour for inspection by any potential buyer. Request for inspection should be made to the Port Master on email address l.barbeau@mauport.com or by Fax on +230 242 8314 or Tel +230 216 3504.

The MPA reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to cancel the bidding exercise at any time prior to award without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidder(s).
